September 8th. Wild Fish Conservancy-Deer Lagoon restoration project - this is potentially one of the largest salt marsh restoration efforts in Puget Sound, and it stands to benefit over 70% of the chinook populations in Puget Sound.
Wild Fish Conservancy's (WFC) Director of Conservation, Micah Wait, will speak September 8, 2010 at the WIFFC meeting. The topic is restoration of Whidbey Island's Deer lagoon.
Deer Lagoon is potentially the largest salt marsh restoration effort in Puget Sound, and it stands to benefit over 70% of the Chinook populations in Puget Sound. Micah and WFC will have new and interesting study results to share with club members.
